Meyer Music: Website Redesign
Meyer Music’s website was approaching five, which in internet years is 35 years old. There were many reasons to update it, including updating outdated technology to current security and Google standards, creating a better landing spot for marketing efforts, and providing its 83,000 monthly site visitors a better user experience (of which 86% were new visitors).
EAG’s team rolled up their sleeves and got to work on improving the user experience via navigation and a better online buying process. Since music lessons and instrument sales and rental are critical to sales, the School Store and Lessons page were given precedent in the site’s structure. Also, the content was updated to the current SEO standards for improved search engine optimization, as well as supporting an aggressive organic search strategy. Being responsive wasn’t as important when the original site was designed as it is now, so we made sure to design for mobile-first search.
