Content Director Extraordinaire Takes the Next Step in Creative Journey

EAG is pleased to announce the promotion of Brenda Heffron to creative director. Heffron joined EAG full time in 2013 after working with the agency as a freelance copywriter, seamlessly balancing strategy and creativity with a solid grounding in consumer insights. She has continually proven herself a skilled writer and creative leader, rising from award-winning copywriter to become the agency’s content director before this newest promotion.

A former teacher, Heffron started post-graduate work at Stanford University and finished at UC-Berkeley with a student counseling certification. Her teaching career began with Inroads Inc. where a syllabus she helped create was adopted nationwide and culminated at Newark Unified School District in the Bay Area, Calif. where she served on the district curriculum committee and as a mentor teacher. Heffron’s background in English and psychology is a great foundation when it comes to writing smart, compelling content. She has worked with global corporations like JVC, Elsevier, YRC Worldwide, Eagle Golf and the Matthew Shepard Foundation, as well as hundreds of small businesses.CONTENT DIRECTOR EXTRAORDINAIRE TAKES THE NEXT STEP IN CREATIVE JOURNEY

“Brenda is an OG when it comes to delivering leadership and direction to shape game-changing work,” said Michele Markham, EAG president and CEO. “She’s relentless in her desire to solve problems and leave a mark with her work and is the perfect fit to lead the team that creates unique content and design for our agency and clients.  We look forward to only great things ahead for both Brenda and EAG.”

In her new role, Heffron oversees the entire creative department and cohesively leads the team from ideation through final approval for projects. She guides creative solutions and strategies to meet client marketing goals, and as a part of EAG’s leadership team, also plays a role in strategic planning, market research and new business development.

“EAG embraces change and encourages revolutionary thinking, creativity and strategy, which is important to me,” says Heffron. “People who succeed here look at ideas through a lens that looks beyond creating ads to help small business owners reach their goals. There is a hands-on, entrepreneurial drive in our agency that is an extension of our clients’ entrepreneurial spirit.”
