AlphaGraphics Kansas City Gains National Recognition With Three Printing Industries of America Print Awards

KANSAS CITY, MO – August 23, 2018 –  Printing Industries of America (PIA), the national trade association for graphic communications, has announced the results of the 2018 Premier Print Awards, the world’s most prominent international print competition. AlphaGraphics Kansas City earned three awards, which honors superior print quality and exceptional craftsmanship.

Nearly 3,000 entries were submitted for the June 2018 judging of the Premier Print Awards and awardees are headquartered around the world, including the United States, Canada, China, Mexico, Australia, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates. AlphaGraphics in Kansas City was awarded the following:

Award of Recognition
X-1 Large Format Printing – Oak Hill Day School Wall Graphics

Certificate of Merit
0-7 Binding – VML Gatorade Book
X-1 Large Format Printing – Art in the Loop – Wait Here

The Premier Print Awards were first held in 1950 as the Graphics Arts Awards Competition. A panel of judges scrutinizes the best work from thousands of entries to determine the highest quality printed pieces in various categories. Only the most outstanding pieces earn Awards of Recognition, Certificates of Merit, and the highest honor, the Benny statue. The 2018 Premiere Print Awards will be held in Chicago, Ill., September 30 at the J.W. Marriott in conjunction with PRINT 18.

“We honored to be recognized among the world’s best print work,” says Haley Haar, AlphaGraphics Kansas City president. “Our staff’s craftsmanship is poured into every project, every day and it’s rewarding to have that dedication applauded with three PIA awards.”

The Award of Recognition showcases a growing trend in companies that want to make a stunning first impression of their brand to customers. Wall Graphics have the power to transform ordinary spaces into extraordinary centerpieces. “When customers walk into a space, they notice impact elements like life-size wall decals immediately,” says Haar. “The possibilities are endless now to make a statement permanently or temporarily, using textile or fabric graphics, custom quotes, logos, or murals. They really bring energy to your brand.”
